Monday, January 18th, 2010Delaware Democratic State Representative wants to make Delaware an even worse hell for sex offenders than other states, by identifying them on their driver’s licenses, giving them special car tags, and requiring chemical castration.
One has to wonder how long before some of these sex offenders, having been deprived of any hope of redemption or normalcy, snaps and decides to end it, taking a few people with him in the process. I’m sure there will be no end to the commentary that claims no one could have possibly seen it coming…
Atkins was apparently also instrumental in getting Child Internet Protection Act passed in Delaware. CIPA requires libraries to censor internet content to save the children. CIPA laws are opposed by The American Library Association and ACLU. You know, those people who think that the First Amendment is more than just a suggestion.
Of course, one can never be too cautious when trying to protect children…
