A Theater for the Young in Tver, Russia is hosting a play called “Pannochka” in which there is a scene where “one of the actresses, playing the part of the young witch, appeared on stage naked.”
There is some controversy over the brief scene with a local prosecutor warning the head of the theater about the law “stating that children should be shielded from ‘information damaging their moral views”.
While a nude performance for children might evoke some mild controversy in Europe, if the same thing were to happen in “the land of the free”, there would be a major history-making shit storm. Hell, in most parts of the U.S., nudity on stage is generally assumed to be reserved for strip clubs, so when it happens as a theatrical production, they don’t know how to react.
