Wikileaks founder on Freedom Watch

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Wikileaks recently made it back into the news with the release of another 400,000 documents related to the Iraq war.  Naturally, the U.S. government lamented about how such information threatens the lives of Iraqis who assisted U.S. invasion/occupation forces, but it is again embarrassing itself with false claims aimed at disparaging wikileaks.

Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange was a guest of Judege Andrew Napolitano on the October 30th edition of Freedom Watch with an expanded version of the interview on the Fox Business News website.  He still come across with a hell of a lot more credibility than the Pentagon which has an established reputation for secrecy and disdain for public’s right to know…  well, anything.

Disclaimer:  This website does not endorse Fox News as an honest news source, however, Fox Business News has provided a public forum for such libertarian commentators as Judge Andrew Napolitano and John Stossel.  Their shows also bring in many other libertarian thinkers from organizations such as Reason Magazine and the Cato Institute.  Given the precious little advocacy we see for decriminalization of any consensual “crime” these days, I welcome these programs.  It will be a cold day in hell before you ever see fair treatment from the mainstream televised media (including Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc) on topics like prostitution, the drug war, pornography, sex offender issues, or getting the government out of the marriage business.  Likewise, both major political parties are hand-holding partners when it comes to systematically persecuting those who refuse to encase themselves in a religious or feminist based moral straight jacket.
