Apparently there is money to be made selling turkey tail in Nsawam, Ghana and…

Almost all the young girls after completion of their primary school education join this trade as a means of livelihood.

But, turkey tail is high in fat, so what does the government do?

Only last week the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) announced in a press statement to the general public that the sale and importation of the turkey tail into the country has been banned.

And, in response, traders of fried turkey tail are saying:

any attempt to ruin their business will cause them to join the bandwagon of prostitutes in the country.

So, it sounds to me that young girls are being forced into the sex trade by being deprived of their normal livelihood.  Of course, this kind of idiocy isn’t just limited to far off places like Africa.  in most western countries, child labor is banned, so if you’re a homeless kid, you’re probably going to turn to prostitution…
